Prohibition Liquor Co. has found a second home in the historic Seppeltsfield Distillery, bringing craft spirit production back to the Barossa site where distilling first began in 1877. Thoughtfully restored, the heritage building now operates as an event space, tasting room and cocktail bar — blending old-world character with contemporary design.
Located within the iconic Seppeltsfield Estate, the venue invites you to enjoy curated gin flights, Prohibition-era cocktails and tastings of Prohibition’s award-winning spirits, alongside relaxed G&Ts on the lawns.

CELEBRATE WORLD GIN DAY AT SEPPELTSFIELD

Join us this Saturday 13 June as we raise a glass to World Gin Day — a global celebration of the spirit we proudly craft.
From 11am–5pm, visitors can explore Prohibition's award-winning range with $12 G&Ts and a rotating selection of cocktails, all enjoyed within our atmospheric tasting rooms and expansive lawn areas at Seppeltsfield.
To get into the spirit, pick up a Gin Passport at Prohibition, collect a stamp with your gin purchase, then visit participating Barossa distilleries to gather more stamps for the chance to unlock special offers and prizes.
Make a day of it and discover some of the Barossa's most-loved destinations right on our doorstep, including FINO Seppeltsfield, JamFactory and Vasse Virgin. Whether you're a dedicated gin enthusiast or simply looking for the perfect Barossa day out, World Gin Day at Prohibition is the perfect excuse to celebrate.
GIN BAR & TASTING ROOM
Just a short stroll from Vasse Virgin, The NEW Prohibition gin bar inside the old Seppeltsfield distillery is open everyday from 11am-5pm.
Expect G&Ts, tasting paddles and all our new release gins and liqueurs. There's also flat bread pizzas and light snacks on offer.
Bookings are recommended as tables are limited.
GIN FLIGHT
Enjoy a Prohibition gin tasting flight. A great way to taste our extensive range of small batch spirits with mixers and garnish.
TASTING ROOM
Indoor seating available in our Tasting Room. Plus Indoor and outdoor games for those who love to play! Game on!
OUTDOOR AREA
The distillery lawns are available for outdoor dining. Grab a blanket, or bring your own picnic rug and relax under the sun.
CHEESE PLATTERS
Cheese plate to share, featuring a range of handmade artisan South Australian cheeses.
