Inspired by classical-style field blend winemaking, where grapes from different vineyards and varietals are co-fermented, this year's release brings together premium Shiraz from McLaren Vale with Pinot Noir and Chardonnay hand-picked from the Adelaide Hills. The result is a brighter, beautifully balanced vintage, revealing layers of ripe cherry, tart plum and blueberry jam, lifted by a touch of crisp Granny Smith apple. Natural fruit sweetness is balanced by fresh acidity and our signature piney juniper backbone, creating a seamless fusion of premium gin botanicals and fresh grape maceration that celebrates the best of two renowned South Australian wine regions.
Perfect in a fruit-forward Mediterranean-style G&T, topped with soda for a lighter serve, or paired with your favourite ginger ale. It also shines in cocktails, from a silky Gin Sour and vibrant Spritz to a classic Bramble.
INGREDIENTS
• 45ml Field Blend Shiraz Gin
• 180ml cloudy apple juice
• 1 cinnamon stick
• 1 star anise
• 3 whole cloves
• 2 orange slices
• Lemon juice (half a lemon)
METHOD
1. In a small saucepan, combine the apple juice, cinnamon stick, star anise, cloves and orange slices.
2. Pour your Field Blend Shiraz Gin, mulled apple juice and lemon juice into a heatproof mug and enjoy.
INGREDIENTS
45ml Field Blend Shiraz Gin
25ml fresh lemon juice
4/5 fresh basil leaves
Heaped teaspoon of raspberry jam
90ml soda water
Orange wedge and basil to garnish
METHOD
1. Add gin, lemon juice, basil and jam to a cocktail shaker with ice and shake until chilled.
2. Strain over ice into a highball glass and top with soda water.
3. Garnish with fresh orange and basil sprig.
INGREDIENTS
• 45ml Prohibition Field Blend Shiraz Gin
• 60ml sparkling wine
• 45ml soda water
• 15ml lemon juice
• 4-6 raspberries
METHOD
1. Add raspberries, shiraz gin & lemon juice to a cocktail shaker with ice and shake.
2. Fine strain into a wine glass, add sparkling wine, stir briefly.
3. Add ice, and top with soda water.
4. Garnish with fresh mint.
